Meet Weston:
Weston "Wes" McAloney is a professional performer based in downtown Columbus Ohio. Hailing originally from the theatre-rich Twin Cities in Minnesota, Weston is a well-versed actor, singer, voice-over artist, and private entertainer. As an actor, he strives to always bring the most out of every role, and as a performer strives to always leave the audience with something worth taking home.
Wes earned his AFA in Theatre Performance from Normandale Community College, one of only eight two-year colleges in the nation accredited by the National Association of Schools of Theatre (NAST), and his BFA in Acting from the University of Minnesota Duluth, where he graduated with program honors. Throughout his college career Wes studied classical and contemporary acting styles, music, and vocal technique under some of the most experienced mentors in the business. He was invited to perform in three invited productions at the Region V Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival, and was nominated a total of four times for the Irene Ryan Scholarship Competition. After graduating and moving to Ohio with his new spouse, he was nominated as one of the best breakout actors of the year his first season in Columbus, and became a founding member of the Ohio branch cast of the national dinner theatre ensemble Jest Murder Mysteries Co. In the years since he has performed with multiple companies throughout the central Ohio area, as well as worked with companies designing and constructing sets, props, and stage gimmicks. He also performs his own magic show as Anders the Amazing; featuring classic illusions and escape acts, and a few tricks of his own design.
Weston lives in Columbus with his spouse Camille and their pets Mercy, Anakin, Gimli, and Gourdy. By day Wes leads a team of exhibit fabricators for Boss Display; building custom interactives for children's museums, science centers, libraries, event centers, and corporate headquarters, and travelling around the world to install his team's creations. When not building giant toys or in rehearsals, he enjoys writing short plays and fantasy novellas, backpacking, hiking, visiting museums, road-tripping with his family, and the occasional stint as a D&D game master.
